Birds fascinate me. I'm not a bird watcher, per se, but I fed them and look out for them. And they look out for me. It's a thing.

I can tell you a bunch of stories about my bird experiences, but I'd rather go hear them sing this morning. Their songs are full of medicine. Go out and listen today!

It's such an essential part of our health! As our fast-paced productivity-oriented lifestyle moves us towards an ever more frantic pace, it has become a top priority to slow down, recover our energy, and heal.

Rest is something that is built into my clients' wellness programs. It is now something that needs to be 'prescribed' in a lifestyle medicine practice because it has become so elusive in our societal disconnection from nature.

Mother Earth shows us that life unfold in cycles and every season has equal value. We must embrace the stillness of winter as much as the vibrancy of summer.

The "go, go, go" is a "no, no, no"!

Most of our 'health' approaches to sleep involve some kind of hack or optimization technique. But true health is a lifestyle and rest begins with our preparations to rest our digestion and regenerate our immunity.
