What is the Earth-Body Approach?

First, I want to welcome you to this space of information, discovery, curiosity, and musings about the Earth-Body approach to fitness and health.  My intention is to create a community and provide services to those who are interested in learning a new way to access health in a balanced, integrative, and supportive way that is grounded in ancient natural philosophy for a sustainable earth-centric and embodied experience.  It is not a fad or a template to follow in the short-term, but rather an infrastructure that will evolve with your personal growth, your ever-changing life circumstances, the rhythm of the seasons, and the depth of discovery as your understanding and awareness unfold.  The Earth-Body approach is a wealth of mind-body-earth practices which serve to inform your wellness journey.  

My vision began with an appreciation for movement, fitness, and exercise combined with a deep resonance with nature as Source, having been raised on a homestead in the Hudson Valley, New York.  My foundation was formed through creativity and connection with the natural world as a child.  My education was steeped in extensive knowledge of the human body and the science of life with a curiosity about what is truly possible.  These passions were held in separate containers; my logical and creative brain had been encouraged to exist in separate and distinct facets of my life, “work” versus “pleasure”. The information that I had learned in school was limited but I began to feel more complete when I combined my knowledge with my intuition and spiritual beliefs.  I had discovered conflict in my body as a result of this dissonance and it came to my awareness that the solution was to reconcile my didactic training and my spiritual appreciation, which brought me back to nature for a deeper understanding of life.  Working with clients for twenty years has helped me to discover that I am not alone in experiencing the dis-ease of this dis-connect.

 

“When I opened up to the possibility of blending Eastern wisdom and Western concepts in the context of fitness, a whole new practice began to emerge.  This was the birth of the Earth-Body approach to fitness.  It is a novel paradigm for movement and exercise based in modern fitness theory while grounded in natural philosophy.  It will shift the body into resonating with the energetic vibration of health and eliminate the imbalance (and injuries) that are a result of following current fitness templates.  It will return joy to movement creating fluidity and ease in daily activities.  It will foster health in a holistic way by taking the stress, judgement, and worry out of exercise programs.  And it will create a pathway for a regenerative approach to health.”

 

Though fitness has a significant and profound effect on the overall picture of health, it is only one of four pillars to holistic wellness: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.  Fitness, in the physical domain, was my entry point into the world of health and it remains the epicenter of my offerings and teachings.  In my personal evolution, I have come to a greater understanding of the big picture of health and wellness.  To that end, I offer workshops in energy medicine, as a Certified Energy Codes Facilitator, to guide the process of accelerating health through a spiritual lens.  I also offer virtual community groups, as a Certified NUSHU Group Facilitator, to uplevel one’s emotional process and to enable breakthroughs related to mental constructs.  When experienced all together, the Earth-Body approach is a holistic and integrative pathway towards regenerative healing for humans who inhabit our precious planet Earth.
